Metropolitan Cathedral
It is one of the city's iconic building. It was built between 1936-1946 in Moldavian Byzantine style. It has 11 towers and a height of 96 m. The harmony of 7 electrically operated bells, cast from a rare material brought from Sumatra and Borneo islands, is the best in the country. The basement houses the art collection of the Cathedral Church of the Archdiocese old Timisoara.
Wolf

Opera - National Theatre

Timisoara City Hall

Baroque Palace
Dates from the eighteenth century. Over time the committee was the official residence of the Timis (in XVIII and IX), based Timisan and Vojvodina Banat governor (1849-1860), based Prefecture (twentieth century), to Since 1984, houses the Museum of Art.
Holy Trinity Monument
Union Square is located in the center. Serbian Orthodox Vicariate

Duomo (Cathedral - Roman Catholic)
It was designed by Josef Emanuel Fischer von Erlach and built between 1736-1754. Church is the most valuable piece of Baroque architecture in Timisoara. The main altar, semicicular made of marble, is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and is based on gilded statues of saints and angels. St. John Nepomuk Monument
It is located in Liberty Square in front of Old City Hall, was built in 1756 by Viennese sculptors Wasserburger Blim and baroque rococo. It is made of sandstone. The central plan is St. John Nepomuk (from 1727 the patron saint of Catholics in Banat), and the top is St. Mary with a crown of stars around the head (that's why the statue is also called Mary). The monument was erected by the Society of St. John Nepomuk Catholic in memory of the victims of the plague epidemic of 1738-1739.
Liberty Square - Old City Hall
It was built between 1731-1734, after Pietro del Bronzo Italian architect. It was amended several times in 1782, 1850 (rebuilt after bombing in 1849), 1935 (renovation). Facade ornamentation style combines elements of Baroque and Renaissance.
Synagogue of the Citadel
It was built between 1863 - 1865, in Moorish style, after Schumann Ignatz architectural project. The church is in the form of a Greek cross, is hemispherical dome, the exterior has little glazed ceramic decorations. Currently renovating to turn into a Philharmonic concert hall.
Hotel "The Trumpet"
The hotel was built by a tompetist in sec. Eighteenth century. Building is a symbol golden trumpet, riding a horse and is the Banat Museum. The hotel was very modern installations at the time, water supply and the good hotel. It was considered a luxury. Hosted over the years many figures: in 1807 the Austrian Emperor Francis I, Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza. Father poet Lenau, wealthy man, he liked to spend the premises trumpet.
Union Square
It was the largest market of the city. Here fairs were held animals. The Baroque Palace right next to the pharmacy, including paving slabs that form the market you can find the plan of the former City of Timisoara and can see the two markets: Liberty Square and, respectively, Union Square, a curiosity is that there were two markets in Timisoara (the towns usually had a single market).
